MircoCattai is one of the main Italian and international merchants specialised in antique rugs and textiles. After 20 years in business -his collection is the result of a conscientious and passionate search as well as a meticulous selection that he completed around the world, collecting hundreds of exemplars. Cattai is now focusing on rugs that are the most sought-after throughout the world - that is to say Caucasian, Anatolian and Persian rugs made between the 16th and 19th century. The true novelty of MircoCattai, Fine Arts & Antique Rugs lies in the creation of a laboratory, in Milan, dedicated to the restoration and cleaning of the rugs. Many museums and private collectors actually already rely on Cattai to attend to their rugs and carpets, noble fabrics, embroideries and tapestries. The relation established with the clients is based on a great trust and a complete respect of the rugs that are always considered as unique works of art that have always played a sacred role and that are invested with many aesthetic and symbolical significations.
